Avelion- La Figlia dell'Acqua

My Work

I've mentioned in my biography that, at the age of 18, I was diagnosed a rare and incurable disease: Atassia di Fredreich.
What I did not mentioned it how much this discovery disarranged all my plans, and took me on my current way.
With the arise of my disease, and the increasing of all it's movement's problems, my projects of graduating at the Art High School, and keep on studying Archaeology, vanished suddenly. Unfortunately, the wanna-be Indiana Jones would have risk to trip over her own whip, so I had to redesign my life on the basis of my new perspectives.

I don't deny that it has been hard to accept my limits, and my care in Cosplay proves how often I need to escape from myself, defy my limits and take some satisfaction.
Avelion - Il Figlio del Fuoco
I didn't get the graduation because I lost an year of school, because of the depression I had for almost one year after the diagnosis: when I asked information about how to recover two years in one, and graduate myself with my class at that time, I've been asked for thousands Euro for a private class. Graduating and attending the university would have been just the futile pleasure to hang two pieces of paper at the wall, because I would have never been able to do the work I had studied for. My bad temper won, and I reached a compromise with myself: I would have kept on studying by myself what I liked, just for pleasure, while I would have chosen a job in which my different condition wouldn't have mattered... writing.

My older and deepest passion came back hotly in my life, driving me to write, between 2007 and 2008, my first fantasy novel: “Avelion – La Figlia dell'Acqua”, the first book of the saga related to the fantastic world of “Avelion”, followed in October 2008 by the second book: Avelion - Il Sigillo dell'equilibrio“Avelion – Il Figlio del Fuoco”, and in 2010 by the conclusive volume of the trilogy “Avelion – Il Sigillo dell'Equilibrio”.

I preferred counting on my forces, and publish by myself with a little publishing house of Parma, instead of relying on the typical “wait and hope” of the ones which send their works to biggest and famous publishing house, hoping to be “discovered” and published..

I love being independent, did you imagine it? Well, if you'd like to know something more about my work as a writer, I recommend you to visit the site:
